As a FAME master’s student, I was given an incredible opportunity to be part of a truly Global cohort of exceptionally talented students and undertake my studies across multiple institutions. That spirit of collaboration, excellence and global reach that is so characteristic of the FAME program deeply influenced how I approached my work and my colleagues and has become core to my career path. As Director of Research at the Canadian Institute for Advanced Research, it’s my job to build and support long-term, global research collaborations and foster a sense of community within global networks. For me, the strength of this collaborative mindset first became clear during my time in FAME.
